On the eve of our participation in the Vodacom Challenge, the official South African Spurs Supporters Club are on the look out for new members.

On the eve of our participation in the Vodacom Challenge, the official South African Spurs Supporters Club are on the look out for new members.

Initially formed in the 1980s, the club received 'official' status in 1995 and has been sending members to the club to present the Player of the Season Award since 1996.

Ralph Hohls, Chairman, explained: "We were treated to a special tour in 2003 when Glenn Hoddle brought his side over to support South Africa in their bid to win the 2010 World Cup, so naturally we are delighted to once again be able to host the famous Tottenham Hotspur in our own back-yard.

"We have been invited onto Gary Bailey's 'On The Ball' football magazine programme on M-NET Supersport, further raising the profile of the club.

"This is an exciting time for the Supporters Club and with Spurs finishing strongly for the last two seasons, we are hoping to attract new members.

"The Supporters Club is always looking to improve, and in addition to meeting up together for social occasions such as watching the matches, we are also hoping to support the club further, particularly with the social responsibility programmes in South Africa such as the SOS Village project.

"As such, we are looking for new members who are interested in getting involved with the Supporters Club both at HQ in Johannesburg and regionally. Those with an interest should contact us below."

Please contact Ralph Hohls on +27(0)83 376 7633 or Dave Rodger +27(0)83 293 3747 for further details.

Additional information can be found at the Supporters Club website - www.spursfans.co.za or alternatively email on ralph.hohls@gmail.com
