Ryan Mason expects Stoke City to pose a difficult test on Sunday – but he insists it’s all about us.
As the Potters come to White Hart Lane for a 1.30pm kick-off, we’re chasing our fourth consecutive win in all competitions following victories against Brighton, Aston Villa and Asteras Tripolis at home and abroad.
Central midfielder Ryan knows it’ll be far from easy against the Staffordshire side, insisting the players are focused on getting it right in front of our home fans.
“I think it will be a tough game but we’re concentrating on ourselves,” said the 23-year-old, who has started every game in the Premier League since making his top flight bow at Arsenal in September.
“Hopefully we can hit a bit of form at White Hart Lane and start by picking up three points against Stoke.”
This weekend sees Peter Crouch return to the Lane in Stoke colours, three years after he left us.
Ryan says the striker will get a warm welcome back from his former team-mates – but only after the game!
“Peter Crouch was always a big character here and it will be nice to see him but first and foremost we’re concentrating on our job and looking to beat Stoke,” he added.
“I’m sure after the game we’ll have a catch-up but beforehand we will be strictly professional.”
