Ryan's flying for Foxes
19 August 2015|Tottenham Hotspur
Ryan Mason expects to be flying at full tilt if selected against Leicester City.
The England midfielder returned off the bench after eight weeks out in our Premier League opener at Manchester United.
He performed well at Old Trafford and was back in the starting line-up for Saturday’s 2-2 draw against Stoke at the Lane.
Ryan was arguably our best player for 69 minutes and denied a goal by a fine save from Jack Butland in the first half – one of three efforts at goal as he tries to influence matches more and more in the attacking third.
Below: Ryan speaks to Spurs TV after the Stoke game
“I said before that I see myself as a goalscoring midfielder and I try to get into the box as much as I can,” he reflected.
“Perhaps I blew up in the second half, my legs went a bit but I’ll feel better for it next week and hopefully I’ll chip in again.
“I had eight weeks out injured but I was professional, I did everything right and I feel good.
“There is nothing like match fitness and like I said, I was starting to feel it on 60 minutes but hopefully if I’m playing next week I’ll be able to complete the 90 minutes.”
