Ryan Mason is helping to inspire the next generation of budding footballers by becoming the face of Tottenham Hotspur Soccer Schools.
The England international was discovered at a soccer school which took place on the site of the Club’s Training Centre in Enfield by legendary former midfielder Micky Hazard when he was six-years-old before progressing through the Club’s Academy and into the senior team.
Tottenham Hotspur Soccer Schools are delivered by a team of FA and UEFA qualified coaches at premium venues across North London, Middlesex, Hertfordshire and Essex during term-time and schools holidays for children aged 3-15 years old.
Youngsters attending Soccer Schools courses can learn how to play the ‘Tottenham Hotspur Way’ through access to coaching methods used within an Academy that has developed the likes of Mason, Harry Kane and Danny Rose.
As part of his new role, Ryan visited a Soccer School at Haileybury in Hertfordshire, where the 24 year old chatted to budding young players and offered some helpful tips.
Speaking about Tottenham Hotspur Soccer Schools, Ryan said: “I’m honoured to be involved. I’m from the local area and went to a soccer school when I was younger - that’s where I was spotted and it changed my life forever.
“I know that the majority of youngsters who go to the Soccer Schools will be dreaming of being a professional player one day and I hope that my story inspires them to work hard and focus on achieving their dreams.”
Soccer Schools courses take place in a friendly, rewarding environment ideal for young players to develop their football skills based on a five-tier development pathway to ensure they train with players of similar abilities and ages.
Courses are available to both boys and girls and take place at a number of different venues in the UK. To find out more about Tottenham Hotspur Soccer Schools please visit http://www.tottenhamhotspur.com/soccer-schools/
