Rose rises to occasion
Danny Rose relished the FA Cup experience at Stevenage.
Playing in a new left wing-back role, Danny was one of the leading lights in the goalless draw in Sunday’s fifth round tie.
He set-up the ‘goal’ that wasn’t after his burst to the byline ended with Louis Saha’s goalbound shot hitting Scott Parker on the goalline and therefore being ruled out for offside.
Chances were few and far between as the League One side scrapped it out to earn a replay at the Lane.
“It just shows you can’t take anything for granted in football,” said Danny.
“When we play at White Hart Lane the pitch is always cut perfectly, we've big changing rooms and it’s different at somewhere like Stevenage.
“It’s great to have the experience of going to a lower league stadium and you have to be professional.
“I thought we were professional in our performance, certainly not sloppy, but we didn’t create enough chances on the day.
“Full credit to Stevenage, I thought they did well. We’ll now have a replay and we’ll look to win.”
