Rose relishes England experience

Danny Rose enjoyed being part of the senior England squad for the first time.

Our 24-year-old left-back was in the Three Lions ranks for wins against Norway and Switzerland during the international break, having made an impressive start to the season in our colours.

Joined in Roy Hodgson’s squad by Andros Townsend, Danny said he relished his first senior call-up.

And while the Yorkshireman says he’d love to get another chance to be part of his country’s set-up, he is determined to continue giving his all at club level.

“It was a great experience,” said Danny, who has been capped 29 times for England Under-21s. “I’ve obviously been away with England since Under-16 level through to the other age groups so it was a great experience training and being alongside some of the best players in the league.

“I enjoyed my time with England and it’s an experience I want to have again. I want to play well for Tottenham, for the manager, my team-mates and the fans and anything else that happens away from Spurs is a massive bonus.”
