MLS side Sounders hit back to make it 3-2 before another penalty, this time converted by Yago Falque, completed the scoring in an entertaining friendly in front of 55,349 at CenturyLink Field. Lewis Holtby headed us in front in the 10th minute before goals either side of half-time from Gonalo Pineda and Osvaldo Alonso put the home side 2-1 up.

“The goal is important for my confidence - we all want to score - but most important is the work for the team,” said Roberto, who scored 11 goals in his first season at Spurs last term.

“It’s all about learning how the Head Coach wants us to play and physical preparation and it was a good start to pre-season with this game.

“I want to work hard for the team, I believe in the team and the Head Coach and I think it’s all positive for us to have a great season.”
