Robbie Keane reports that the half-time thinking on Sunday was to salvage pride for both players and supporters.
Two goals down to lightening quick Arsenal counter attacks at the break - despite having a big proportion of the play - the boys responded and a Jamie Redknapp strike with half an hour remaining rocked the now champions back on their heels and parity was restored with Robbie's late penalty.
"We wanted to salvage a bit of pride, to be honest," reflected the striker. "In the first half Arsenal played very well and caught us on the counter attack - I think they scored in their first two runs forward.
"At half-time we said we had to make sure we didn't concede any more and we must get a bit of pride back. I think we did ourselves a bit of justice in the second half.
"David had a few words with us at half-time and we knew ourselves as players that we had to respond and work our socks off for the fans - and that's what we did.
"We had a lot of the play in the first half, but Arsenal are so quick on the counter and the players they have in the squad are all athletes. Sometimes you can't stop them and that was the case on Sunday."
Robbie was quick to pay tribute to the backing offered by the fans and says he has not known a better atmosphere at the Lane.
"Nah, the lads were saying that was the best atmosphere they have experienced for a long, long time - especially the scenes at the end.
"Even though people were saying if Arsenal won the title at White Hart Lane it would be terrible, in the end it probably worked out okay with us getting the penalty in the last few seconds and getting a point. I think everybody went home happy."
