Robbie pleased to be back
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Robbie Keane admitted it was nice to be back in action after his personal tragedy last week as he joined Spurs team-mates Stephen Carr and Gary Doherty in Ireland's Euro 2004 qualifier against Albania.
The striker missed the qualifier against Georgia on Saturday following the death of his father last week.
However, having joined Brian Kerr's squad on Monday, Robbie started up front alongside Damien Duff before being replaced by Gary just after the hour in the 0-0 draw.
"It's been a hectic time for me," pondered Robbie. "So it was nice to come over and get amongst it again.
"It was nice to start to the game but I felt for Gary Doherty to be honest because the in the last game he did very well but he came on for me later, so that was good."
How hard had it been? "You try your best to concentrate and and take things off your mind but it all happened so quickly and the last week has been difficult, I'd be lying if I didn't say that," added Robbie.
"I've been thinking about a lot of different things because I'm only human. It's been difficult but it was nice to get over here and get amongst it rather than sitting at home thinking about other things. It was nice to get training, play and get a few things off my mind."
