Robbie on the mend
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Robbie Keane reports that he has started running again as he progresses in his recovery from a knee ligament injury.
Addressing the Irish media ahead of our friendly encounter with Bohemians in Dublin on Tuesday, the striker revealed that he will hopefully be on the comeback trail in the next two weeks or so.
"It's coming along," he explained. "I've been doing straight running over the last few days and it is healing a lot quicker than we expected.
"I'll just have to keep working with the physios and, hopefully, I'll be back within the next couple of weeks or so.
"There is no target, as such, I'll just take each day as it comes. There is a game on Saturday then a break for a couple of weeks, which will probably help me. I'll just keep going and hopefully it will keep progressing.
Robbie sustained the injury in our match against Sunderland on February 8.
"When it happened I was just trying to keep the ball in play and got my studs caught in the ground.
"It's not a big deal and I haven't needed an operation or anything. It is something that just needs to heal. I hate sitting in the treatment, but it is something that has to be done."
