Robbie on speedy return
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Robbie Keane acknowledges that, even by his standards, a return against West Brom on Wednesday was good going.
The striker suffered ankle ligament damage on July 28 in the friendly against Rangers and it was anticipated he would be absent for six weeks, so he was understandably delighted to be back playing in under four.
"I've done well and full credit to the medical staff and doctors," said Robbie. "It's gone better than we first expected and I'm just happy to be back playing and back among things in the dressing room.
"It's never nice to miss the start of the season, but I've been lucky enough not to miss too many games."
It did appear at one stage that the Republic of Ireland international might be starting against the Baggies with Fredi Kanoute struggling with a knock. Robbie reveals he knew this was unlikely.
"I knew Fredi was going to be okay and I was happy to be just back in the squad with a chance of playing.
"I am just looking forward to being involved against Birmingham on Saturday now."
