Robbie on Leeds return

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Robbie Keane returns to Leeds United on Saturday hoping to continue his knack of scoring against former clubs.

The striker scored home and away last season against the club he left to join us in August 2002 and has also netted against Coventry and Wolves in Spurs colours this season. He missed 2-1 over Leeds at the beginning of this campaign through injury.

Back on the goal trail against Birmingham on after drawing a six-game blank, Robbie would clearly relish adding to his tally, but points out that the securing of the points is paramount.

"Obviously I'd be delighted to score on Saturday but, first and foremost, we must get the win," he said on Thursday. "We need to get back-to-back wins in the league and we haven't done that much this season.

"The Crystal Palace and Birmingham games have given us a lot of confidence and we need to take that into the Leeds game," he added, noting that his former teammates are not collecting due reward for their performances. .

"I've spoken to a couple of the lads and they say they have been playing well but haven't been getting the rub of the green.

"They are a good side and, if you look at the team, they have still got a lot of good players. The manager Eddie Gray I have got a lot of respect for, he was always good to me when I was there.

"I'm sure he will do a great job for Leeds - after Saturday.

"The players respect him very much and, during my time, he was one I could always speak to and he gave me confidence. He is a man I respect very much."
