Robbie: Job well done
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Captain on the night and Man of the Match Robbie Keane saluted a job well done following the 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup 5th round replay at the City Ground.
Robbie was among the goalscorers on a chilly night in the east midlands, netting the all-important second after Noe Pamarot set us on way with his second goal for the club. A trip to Newcastle now looms in the last eight.
"It is always nice to get Man of the Match but the most important thing is to get the result - we knew it was going to be tough," reflected Robbie after the game. "We came here, set our stall out and tried to play good football, but it was a bit difficult in the conditions.
"All in all, we have to be happy to come away from Forest with a 3-0 win. We were solid from the start, it was a professional job with the boys working their socks off and we got our rewards in the end."
It was a 14h goal of the season Robbie added to his account and is now just two off his total of 16 of last season. He agreed the goal keeps him ticking over nicely for the challenges ahead.
"It does, yes. It brings me up to 14 and I don't think I had as many this time last year. It is always nice to to score but the win is most important.
"The fans were tremendous and singing throughout the game. We always get that with our away fans and it does help the team."
He will now await a reunion with former teammate Stephen Carr up at St James Park and Robbie is confident further progress can be made in the competition.
"I spoke to him when the draw was made, he was hoping to be able to play the boys and we will be looking forward to seeing him as well," he added. "It will be a tough game though as Newcastle are a tremendous side. If we keep playing as we are, I don't see why we can't get a result."
