Robbie earns first win
Robbie Keane's goal against Colombia last night headlines our international round-up.
Robbie Keane scored the only goal of the game as the Republic of Ireland picked up their first win under new coach Giovanni Trapattoni.
The striker scored after just three minutes of his country's 1-0 victory over Colombia at Fulham's Craven Cottage with a deflected effort from the edge of the box.
It was Robbie's 33rd goal for the Republic in 81 appearances.
Meanwhile, Chris Gunter, Younes Kaboul and David Button were all in international action on Wednesday night.
Chris completed 90 minutes as a young Wales side impressively beat Iceland 1-0 in Reykjavik.
Younes skippered a France Under-21 side to a 1-1 draw with their Portuguese counterparts on their tour of Sweden.
And David played a full game in goal for the England Under-19s as they recorded their second straight European Championship Elite Qualifying Round win over Serbia in Belarus.
Jonathan Woodgate and Tom Huddlestone were unused substitutes as England beat the USA 2-0 at Wembley, but both make the trip to the Caribbean to face Trinidad & Tobago on Sunday.
Gunter could be in action again this weekend as Wales face Holland, and Gilberto is in the Brazil squad to face Canada.
Meanwhile, Didier Zokora and Young-Pyo Lee are set to feature as the Ivory Coast and South Korea begin their World Cup Qualifying campaigns.
