Robbie back to his best
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Robbie Keane feels he has been getting back to his best in the last few games after what was a below par beginning to the season for the livewire striker.
The Republic of Ireland record goalscorer - who added to his tally against Croatia this week - scored only his second Premiership goal of the season against Charlton two weeks ago before making it three in the Carling Cup with a double-strike in the 3-0 win over Burnley.
His goalscoring cause should now be boosted by new Head Coach Martin Jol giving the team a licence to thrill.
"I hope so," said the 24-year-old. "You've seen in the last few games that there have been goals. I hadn't been myself since the start of the season, whether that is for any reason I don't know.
"Recently though I have started to express myself and have enjoyed doing that. Even though we lost against Charlton, in the second half I enjoyed it, I was getting the ball and trying to make things happen.
"I also enjoyed the Burnley game and it was nice to score two goals, but also to get a good result after losing against them two years ago. Then we scored four against Arsenal but we were obviously disappointed with the outcome."
Robbie also suspects the introduction of Michael Carrick, with his vision and imagination, will further enhance the team.
"I enjoyed watching him when he was at West Ham and when I played against him I always thought he was a tremendous player. Since he has come here we have seen his quality on the training pitch and his passing is unbelieveable.
"He makes passes that other people probably wouldn't even see. Having him in the team will only help Tottenham Hotspur."
