Reza's story

24 March 2017|Tottenham Hotspur

In the latest in a series of features celebrating a decade of the Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, we meet Reza, who travelled from the Seychelles to pursue a career in sport through our ground-breaking degree programme.

Our Foundation Degree courses – Applied Sport and Community Development, Applied Football Coaching and Performance and Stadium and Event Management – were the first to be offered by a Premier League club and offer students a unique way of learning within a football club environment.

Full-time courses are £6,000 for the current academic year, £3,000 less than most universities, with each course developed in consultation with employers to ensure students gain the skills, knowledge and experience needed to progress straight into employment.

Reza came to London with dreams of becoming a football coach. He says: “Coming to White Hart Lane every day is fantastic and gives you the extra motivation to achieve your goals. You wouldn’t find a course like this anywhere else and eventually I’d like to apply my knowledge back home.”
