Reto raring to go

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Reto Ziegler says he's fit and determined to build on the superb start to his Spurs career.

The Swiss youngster was seen as one for the future on his arrival from Grasshoppers in August but got his first team chance in October and grasped it with both hands.

Since that debut at Everton, Reto, who turned 19 last month, has featured in 19 games and scored his first Premier League goal.

Only injury has kept him out with a hamstring pull at Palace sidelining him for the last three weeks.

He's now hoping to regain his place in the squad for the FA Cup replay against West Brom at the Lane on Saturday (kick-off 5.30pm).

"I feel very good," said Reto. "It's always tough to be injured but I'm pleased to be back. The most difficult thing now is to get back into the team.

"I'm happy with what I've done here but I want more. It's a pleasure to have played and I'm happy the coaches are pleased with how I've played.

"But it's not good to be too pleased with myself because then I might relax and perhaps take it for granted. That's not what I want. I'm very happy with how it's gone but it's important I continue."

One thing has changed in his time out injured - the arrival of left winger Andy Reid from Nottingham Forest.

"I saw the last game against Portsmouth and he's a very good player," added Reto. "It won't be easy for me but it's normal at a club like this.

"The competition is good - every game, every training session you want to be better. Also, if someone is injured, you have the player to come in.

"The injury came at a bad time for me but this is an important game for us and I hope I can be in the team. I aim to show this week that I'm fit and ready to play again."
