Result: Hull City 2-2 Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Jermain Defoe maintained his electric pre-season form as a determined Hull City grabbed a late draw in Saturday's friendly.
The livewire striker made it four goals in three pre-season starts with a goal in each half at the KC Stadium.
Paul Robinson also made his debut and both Anthony Gardner and Ledley King made their first appearances of the summer. Former Spurs Nicky Barmby and Alton Thelwell started for Hull.
We dictated possession for the most part and created most of the chances but the spirited home side stuck in there and were rewarded with an equaliser in injury time.
Clear-cut chances were at a premium throughout but it was no surprise when Defoe opened the scoring after 40 minutes.
The England international had already flashed a couple of shots wide when he drilled into the bottom left corner from 20 yards.
Defoe was denied soon after by Marc Joseph's block and Boaz Myhill did well to turn Robbie Keane's low effort around the post.
The second half kicked-off in similar fashion but Hull were handed an equaliser just after the hour when King, on for Gardner at half-time, bundled over Jon Walters and Stuart Green sent Robinson the wrong way from the spot.
Defoe went close again twice but soon put us ahead again with a fine goal. OJ Mabizela rolled the ball into Defoe some 35 yards from goal and he spun away from Joseph, carried into the box, stepped away from Delaney before firing home from 12 yards.
That looked like wrapping up the win but Hull bounced back again. Robinson was forced into his first save to turn aside Stuart Elliott's drive before the same player capitalised as we failed to clear a corner, spinning and lashing into the roof of the net from 12 yards.
