Reserves seek revenge
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Chris Hughton aims to avenge his lowest point of the season when Charlton Reserves arrive at St Albans on Tuesday night.
Turn the clock back to October and a team including the likes of Alton Thelwell, Ledley King, Darren Anderton, Chris Armstrong, Willem Korsten, Matthew Etherington and Jose Dominguez were hammered 5-0 at the Valley.
At the time Chris was desperately disappointed with our defending and admitted: "I’m very disappointed. I certainly can’t remember being in charge of a side that lost 5-0 in a competitive game."
That defeat certainly produced the reaction Chris was after though, and since then his side have lost just two of nine games.
He reflected: "It was our lowest point, very much so, but this gives us the chance to redress the balance on the back of a couple of good wins.
"I was delighted with the last result at Watford. The side will change again but we have a strong team on paper and it’s important to get these games on, especially with what is happening this weekend.
Chris isn’t expecting an easy ride at St Albans. "Charlton play the same at first team and reserve team level. They play 4-4-2, have a very good work ethic and there has never been much between us at this level. I just hope the conditions stay good and it will be a good game."
