Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Mark Yeates' double wasn't enough for our reserves to end their league campaign with a win against Coventry City on Thursday night.
The Irish forward showed what he's all about to hand us the lead after six and 55 minutes but we couldn't hold on against a game Coventry outfit.
The lads came out with a spring in their step, understandably after such a fine win against Arsenal last time out. David Limbersky had a couple of darts down the right and it only took a couple of minutes for Mounir El Hamdaoui to register a first shot on target.
Six minutes in and it was 1-0 via a wonderful piece of skill from Yeates. Phil Ifil picked out his run across the box from the right and Yeates controlled and turned his marker in one movement before finishing low with his left foot.
Johnnie Jackson drilled a free-kick into the defensive wall two minutes later but then a warning as a Coventry break found Liam Davis free on the left and he drove inches wide - he would have his say later.
Jamie O'Hara curled just wide from 25 yards and then Jackson - at the centre of everything - fed El Hamdaoui who fired a yard wide from the edge of the box. Ifil then tried an audacious lob from 35 yards that had Jonathan Tuffey back tracking with some concern and happy to see the ball drift just over.
El Hamdaoui should have doubled the lead after 25 minutes. Lee Barnard worked wonders from a tight position on the byline, twisted and turned away from two defenders and crossed only for his strike partner to miscue from six yards.
And we were made to pay as the Sky Blues hit back. Kevin Thornton won a questionable free-kick on the right and his delivery forced Rob Burch to turn away for a corner. Neil Wood curled the kick deep from the left and Stuart Wall nodded home unchallenged from close range.
The lads - and the game - lost a bit of fluency for the next 15 minutes until Barnard controlled Ifil's clipped cross, turned and fired inches wide just before half-time.
The second half started scrappily until a quick throw from Barnard released Yeates down the left. He darted away from Wood, cut into the box and squared for El Hamdaoui whose precise shot was saved well by Tuffey.
Coventry responded straight away as Thornton released Vijay Sidhu down the right channel, he held off Emil Hallfredsson before shooting across Burch and inches wide.
The game had well and truly picked up again and it was no surprise to see us go 2-1 up after 55 minutes. Barnard was inches away from O'Hara's cross but picked up the loose ball and laid it back for Yeates to strike low and true first time into the bottom corner from 18 yards.
The lead didn't last long though with a goal worthy of any stage. Davis read O'Hara's crossfield pass to Ifil, intercepted and carried 30 yards before unleashing a piledriver beyond Burch into the corner.
Coventry should have grabbed the lead after 72 minutes when a flowing move ended with Craig Reid in front of goal just 12 yards out but he scuffed his shot wide.
Kieran McKenna didn't quite get hold of his shot after good work from his fellow substitute Marcel McKie and the same player drove just wide after 78 minutes.
As we pushed on, Coventry went close twice. Liam Nicelli sliced a shot just over after 83 minutes and substitute Paul McCrink headed onto the top of the crossbar.
