Reserve report:<br>Derby County 0-1 Spurs
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
It was third-time lucky for Jamie Slabber as our reserves maintained their fantastic winning run at Pride Park on Tuesday night to hit the top of the Barclays Premiership Reserve League South table.
The young striker looked on in disbelief as two efforts from six yards in the first half failed to hit the back of the net.
But he made no mistake when the third opportunity arrived at the start of the second half to bag his second goal in two starts and make it eight wins in the reserves last nine games.
The young side on show on a damp night in Derby failed to hit the heights of recent weeks but the winning habit is evident - the was number six on the trot.
They were forced to hang on at times as the Rams pushed forward in second half but Martin Fulop was equal to anything thrown his way, the defence - including debutant Leigh Mills - was solid as a unit and we looked a constant threat on the counter.
The first half wasn't great with Slabber's chances the highlight.
The first arrived after nine minutes after fine work from Eddie Silva Sousa and the returning Rohan Ricketts who pulled back to Slabber from the byline only for the striker to miss the target.
Derby had a couple of efforts from distance but he next chance arrived again to Slabber, again six yards out but this time Lee Grant somehow scooped it off the line.
Where the first half was somewhat scrappy, the second half was electric with a host of chances at both ends and, vitally, Slabber's goal.
Only two minutes had ticked by when Yeates worked a yard of space in the box and cut the ball back for Slabber who lost his marker, spun and finished well.
That sparked a completely different contest with chances at both ends and the home side driven forward in search of an equaliser by Morten Bisgaard.
The Danish international forced a fine save from Fulop, hammered a volley just wide, curled a free-kick just over and then set up Rams best chance for substitute Gianfranco Labarthe Tome that produced a superb double save from Fulop, parrying the first effort away before getting up quickly to block Marcus Tudgay's follow up.
That all came in the space of seven minutes yet in the same time Jamie O'Hara went close twice - it was that sort of game.
The chances continued to come - Rams threw themselves in to block Slabber and Ricketts, Labarthe Tome went close and Slabber grazed the bar with a header from Johnnie Jackson's cross.
Rams came closest to equalising with 14 minutes left as Labarthe Tome volleyed into the ground from a half-cleared corner but with Fulop beaten, Phil Ifil was there clear off the line.
