Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Colin Calderwood described Monday evening's 1-1 draw against Ipswich at Stevenage as a 'good advert for reserve team football'.

In a match bristling with pace and attacking intent, Ipswich took the lead through a break-away with 17 minutes gone before our second-string deservedly levelled just before the break with a Rohan Ricketts penalty.

The visitors, however, did have the chance to win the match in second half stoppage time when they were awarded a penalty of their own, but were not successful in the execution.

"It was a real good game," said the coach afterwards. "We were a bit sleepy and dopey for ten minutes at the start and they were bright and energetic.

"From a throw-in near their corner flag they broke away and scored a goal. They deserved it for the play they had in the first half and we were a slight step behind them. We gradually came into it and got the break with a penalty just before half-time.

"I think our play in the second half warranted us getting something out of the game because, overall, we were in the ascendency. I don't think we dominated, it was two teams fully committed to playing quite fast attacking football.

"There were a lot of good challenges and it was a competitive game, one that you could have no complaints about the effort the boys put in.

"I thought it was a good advert for reserve team football. You couldn't ask for too much more other than getting a goal but, having said that, I was quite happy that they missed the penalty at the end."

Meanwhile, Colin was pleased with the contribution of the returning Anthony Gardner and felt the game provided a good test for the central defender.

"He looked okay and actually, because of the competitiveness of the game, it was a real good session for him.

"We'll see how he comes out in the morning, how he feels. He might feel stiff, but a lot of the boys were complaining that their legs were feeling heavy in the last ten minutes.

"That is due to the fact that they've had to work hard."
