Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Clive Allen could not hide his hurt over the ending of his reserve side's unbeaten run against Arsenal at Barnet on Monday evening.

Clive's boys pretty much bossed the first half before the home side used their know-how of the Underhill slope in the second period, counter-attacked with speed and accumulated a two-goal lead before Jamie Slabber reduced the deficit in stoppage time.

"I am just disappointed because it was a game we could have won," reflected the Development Coach afterwards. "I said to the lads that they could have won it, we made a lot of entries into the final third without the precision needed to score goals.

"We had chances and paid the price. They have quality and they showed that with swift counter attacks that proved costly. I felt we had a lot of the game, a lot of possession in the second half and opportunities to create chances. I am disappointed that we didn't make some good build-up play count.

"I can't fault them for their effort or desire, that is without question. I've told them ask themselves why we lost the game. We had a lot of possession against a team of quality and it comes down to perhaps a little bit of concentration at crucial times."

It was a first defeat after a run of seven games which included six wins and a draw. Clive insists his group will pick themselves up in readiness for forthcoming challenges - the next being West Ham at Upton Park next Tuesday.

"Absolutely, it is not the end of the world. It is bitterly disappointing, but it was always going to be a big test and players have to learn from it."
