Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Clive Allen hailed a 'very disciplined' display by his team following the 2-0 reserve victory over Chelsea at Aldershot on Monday evening.

Goals from Philip Ifil and Johnnie Jackson settled the contest, one in which the boys smothered the attacking intent of the home side, kept possession effectively and were sharp on the break.

"I thought it was a very disciplined performance," considered the Development Coach afterwards. "We talked about it before the game, about the way they would play, that if they could they would counter quickly and cause us problems if we were unbalanced.

"The pleasing thing was the way the lads went about it in a really concentrated manner. We frustrated them with our shape, kept the ball when we had to and we did have opportunities ourselves.

"I said to the lads that it is a different way of going about winning a game and I thought they executed it superbly and deserved the result."

"The way we've worked in the last few days, when we have turned possession over in our practice we have countered quickly. When we've had controlled possession of the ball we've wanted to be patient. I thought the lads were excellent in that respect.

"Playing like that you are very hard to beat and that is credit to the lads for the way they went about it."

Meanwhile, Clive reported that Michael Brown came through the first stage of his comeback from injury with no problems.

"He was fine and it was always going to be 45 minutes. Brownie is working his way back in, he felt rusty and didn't have the spark his normally has, but that will come and he enjoyed it."
