Relief after Teddy scare
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Glenn Hoddle has allayed fears that Teddy Sheringham might have to spend weeks on the sidelines after a freak knee injury.
The skipper picked up the injury in training and missed Monday night's win at Manchester City but, thankfully, scans have revealed good news.
"Teddy's news is little better than we first thought," revealed Glenn at Maine Road.
"We thought he might be out for four or five weeks but the scan has showed it's a grade one strain, which is obviously a lot better than a grade five.
"It was a freak injury on the training ground when he just miss-hit a ball. A specialist will have a look but he feels better in himself.
"The lads have done well though. We lost the skipper, he was due to play, but give the players credit, they've done excellently."
Teddy remains a big doubt for the Boxing Day clash against Charlton at the Lane while Gary Doherty (knee), Mauricio Taricco (throat infection) and Les Ferdinand (toe) all have an 'outside chance', according to the boss.
