Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
The beginning of Andy Reid's Tottenham career has been not so much stop-start as start-stop and the tricky wideman can't wait to get going again.
The Republic of Ireland international, recruited from Nottingham Forest on transfer deadline day, made his debut against Portsmouth five days later and impressed in a 3-1 win that saw fellow debut-maker Mido net two goals.
The 22-year has since been forced into a period of inactivity due to the team playing FA Cup football on successive weekends - the second of which against his former club.
He is available and certainly ready for action this weekend against Fulham and admits the last few weeks have provided a frustrating wait.
"It's been very difficult to be honest. I came in all excited, made my debut and then had such a long break. It was difficult to take, but now I have got a good couple of weeks training under my belt and am looking to get into the team on Saturday."
Following the Fulham game we return to FA Cup action against Nottingham Forest in the 5th round replay at the City Ground. Andy will be forced to sit on the sidelines again as the teams battle for a quarter-final date with Newcastle at St James Park.
He was an interested onlooker at the Lane last week and Forest's bold performance came as no surprise to him.
"I warned everybody that it wouldn't be a pushover and not to expect an easy game," he reflected. "I've said for a long time, while I was there, that the team was probably better suited to playing against Premiership teams, at Premiership grounds and on good pitches.
"At times they do like to play good football and, when they get the ball down and knock it around, they are a good side.
"At times this season, when they have come up against the teams around the top of the table, it is when they have put in their best performances.
"It is not going to get any easier for us now but, I think everybody knows, if Tottenham plays to its best then we should win. Although it is not always as clean cut as that, especially in the FA Cup."
Andy received a little bit of banter from the Forest travelling support at the Lane - 'Are you watching Andy Reid' - and was not quite sure why he was singled out for a chant rather than Michael Dawson.
"That's what I said to Daws while we were watching the game. I said 'how come they are calling my name and not yours?'. He just said it was because mine is easier to sing and it fitted in with the song. I thought it was quite good and had a little chuckle. I would like to think it was all a bit of fun."
