Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Derby County are seeking Gregory intervention.
The ex-Wycombe and Aston Villa boss has steered his white charger to the rescue at Pride Park, but the boss, who is a confirmed fan of 'The Boss' of the Springsteen variety has been there before and succeeded.
When he strode into Villa Park at the end of February 1998 Villa were in bother. He took over from Brian Little with Villa seemingly doomed for the drop. He did no more than steer them to a European place.
It is unlikely he will be able to work similar miracles with Derby at this stage of the season, but you wouldn't bet against the straight-talking Gregory plotting a way out of the mire for the Pride Park outfit.
Gregory is a media man's dream. Good copy, no messing and always a line or two for the hacks to get their teeth into. Whether his magic works similar magic in the boardroom is open to debate.
But Gregory is up with the best of them as far as English managers are concerned and knows how to build a team that will give little away - just the ticket for Derby at the moment.
Derby have been riding their luck in the top flight for a couple of seasons now. It ironic that thge two models for smaller clubs surviving in the Premiership were Leicester and Derby. The two now occupy the bottom two places in the top flight.
A sound base, money and heavy dollops of luck talks in the Premiership and Derby cashed a few chips in the summer with the recruitment of Fabrizio Ravanelli - once the bad guy at Middlesbrough, but a model pro in the east midlands.
It remains to be seen how Gregory rubs along with the 'White Feather', but it is signings such as this that he hankered after at Villa Park. They should get along just fine - both passionate with a strong desire to succeed.
Derby have got it all to do. One change of management did not do the trick and Rams' fans are banking on the second.
Changes at the top can spark a reaction - the trick is sustaining it. The 'Boss' fan urgently needs Derby to be singing to his own tune.
