Quintet in England squad

17 March 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

Five of our players have been named in the senior England squad for this month's friendlies against Germany and the Netherlands.

Dele Alli, Eric Dier, Harry Kane, Danny Rose and Kyle Walker have all made the cut as the Three Lions prepare for their first games of 2016.

Dele has one goal and four senior caps to his name so far, Eric has played twice to date and Harry has scored three goals in eight appearances up to this point.

Danny has been called up twice before, in August, 2014, and March, 2015, but is yet to feature while Kyle has won 13 caps to date.

Roy Hodgson’s men visit Germany on Saturday, March 26, before hosting the Netherlands on Tuesday, March 29.

Elsewhere, Harry Winks has been named in the England Under-20s squad for their friendly against Canada at Doncaster’s Keepmoat Stadium on March 27 while Josh Onomah and Kyle Walker-Peters will link up with England Under-19s for their trio of European Under-19 Championship elite round qualifiers in Spain later this month, where they’ll face Georgia, Greece and Spain.

England Under-18s, meanwhile, include goalkeeper Alfie Whiteman and midfielder Marcus Edwards among their number for their forthcoming matches against Austria and Republic of Ireland.
