Hugo Lloris pinpointed team spirit as key to victory at QPR.
Harry Kane led the way with goals number 25 and 26 of the campaign as we battled it out for a 2-1 victory at Loftus Road.
It was a performance that had a bit of everything - control of possession on a difficult surface, Harry’s clinical finishing, Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason scrapping it out in midfield against ex-Spur Sandro and a strong defensive display as QPR pushed for an equaliser in the latter stages.
“This was a team victory because we showed a great spirit all together,” said Hugo, who chipped in with a key double save from Rs dangerman Charlie Austin in the first half.
“Everyone helped the team whether they started the game or came off the bench.
“In this kind of game you are never comfortable because it’s a big fight on a small pitch and we kept fighting until the end.”
Victory made it two wins in four days against Swansea and QPR less than a week after the double blow of Europa League elimination and the Capital One Cup Final loss at Wembley last weekend.
“It was important to bounce back after Wembley,” added Hugo. “We had two wins this week and it will give us confidence for the next few matches.
“Every game is important at this time of the season so we have to carry on and try to get as many points as possible.”
