Pascal Chimbonda sees in similarity in the season currently being enjoyed by Sunday's opponents Reading and the one he experienced last season with Wigan.Reading currently sit a place below and a point behind us in the Premiership standings and are very much in the race for a top six finish in their first season in the top flight. Pascal was part of Wigan's debut season in the Premiership and Paul Jewell's side were also in the running up to the closing stages before recording a 10th place finish.
Pascal suspects it is about retaining the players and spirit that served Wigan and Reading so well in the Championship that has seen them establish themselves in the top tier.
"I think they have come up from the Championship and kept the same spirit - the same as Wigan did last season," reasoned the full-back.
"Reading are a good team with good players and it should be a good game on Sunday.
"I am not surprised Reading have done so well and they have won a lot of games. They beat us 3-1 after us being ahead so we will need a little more concentration. If we show this we should win this game at home because when we play at home we score goals and seem to be more confident.
"Our team has a very good spirit and we need to maintain it going into the Reading game. The game on Sunday will be good for us and, if we can win, we can hopefully push up the table," added Pascal with the team on the back of four straight wins in the league. "We all feel good and have played well in our last four league games. We now want to finish the season strongly."
