Premier League 4 Sport success

The Tottenham Hotspur Foundation’s Premier League 4 Sport programme has experienced success in recent regional competitions.

Natalie Robinson, from Lammas School in Leyton, won Most Valuable Player in the Girls category at this year’s London Volleyball tournament in Brentwood, involving teams representing London rivals Arsenal, Chelsea and West Ham. Natalie has only recently started playing the sport and her progress leading into the tournament was fantastic.

Our girls’ badminton team, made up of students from QE Girls School, Barnet and St James School, Colindale, were meanwhile crowned victorious at the London and Midlands Regional tournament held in Birmingham.

In addition, students from St Michael’s School in Finchley battled it out at the National Badminton competition held in Milton Keynes with all 20 Premier League Clubs competing. The students, despite not winning overall, represented Tottenham Hotspur with pride and were a credit to the programme.

Tottenham Hotspur Foundation also recently hosted the London Table Tennis Cup at our hub site, Ellenborough Table Tennis Club in Enfield.

Six teams were represented on the day including Arsenal, Chelsea, Fulham, Portsmouth and West Ham. Despite strong performances from all clubs, the Spurs team, consisting of players from the Oasis Academy, St Anne’s Girls School and Edmonton County School, were crowned overall winners.

In total, 38 young people have represented and competed for Tottenham Hotspur in Premier League 4 Sport competitions, with all excelling and developing in their chosen sports.
