Post-match fans' takeover - Christian Eriksen Q&A

17 January 2016|Tottenham Hotspur

The latest new feature where we get the people that matter - the fans - to ask the post-match questions to the players that matter - this time, two-goal Christian Eriksen.

The Danish playmaker scored twice to help us on the way to a 4-1 victory against Sunderland including a crucial equaliser a minute after the Black Cats has taken the lead against the run of play.

Look out for @SpursOfficial's Tweet asking for questions to the player - and we may not know who it is until seconds after the final whistle - reply with a question and we'll do our best to ask it.

We will then RT a selection on Twitter and run the Q&A here on

Here's what Christian had to say...

Christian: “I think it’s really crucial. Of course, every game is crucial at the moment – if you win, you go up a bit but if you lose, you go down a bit. It’s really close, so every win is needed. This could be a good one.”

Christian: “It feels really good, relieved really. It’s been a long time (in the Premier League) and things haven’t really gone my way, but this time things twice went my way! Hopefully I haven’t used all my luck!”

Greg Mercer: How much has your confidence and focus improved after netting several goals in the last few matches? #COYS
Christian: “A lot. I know I can score goals, I know I’ll get the chances and today I was a little lucky to get them over the line. I’ll keep shooting.”

Belgian Hotspur: How are you so calm & composed when a shot rebounds? 2nd time this week we've seen you score following a save.
Christian: “That’s true! The pass for Harry should have been a bit softer so he could have shot straight away but luckily it bounced where I wanted it to and from there, it’s about striking it how you want to, a little luck and it went in.”
