Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Reid: "He set up Robbie Keane's goal, he did well, his first game but everyone knows he's a terrfic player and gives us width on the left side and he deserves some compliments as well."

Jol also spared a word or two of praise for Tottenham's other debutant - Andy Reid.

The former Nottingham Forest winger capped a fine display by providing the pass for Keane to make it 3-1 in the 82nd minute.

Jol added: "I was delighted for him because he set up the third goal and that was the most important one for us.

"It was difficult match for us because after we went in front 2-1, we made a decision to go for the third goal."

While Jol was happy with his new boys, Portsmouth coach Joe Jordan was disgruntled with the way Simon Davies was allowed to cross the ball and pick out Mido for the Spurs equaliser.

Portsmouth had gone ahead against the run of play with a deft header from Diomansy Kamara in the 27th minute, but six minutes later Mido had levelled.

Jordan remained satisfied that Portsmouth are on course to reach their safety target of 40 points.

He said: "Spurs had a lot of possession but I don't think they created that many chances.

"We threatened once or twice on the break and eventually got a goal. We then got a reaction from Spurs but up to that point everything they tried was a little bit predictable.

"We handled it quite well although I was a little bit disappointed with the first goal we conceded.

"Their guy (Davies) was able to put the cross in and pick out the striker, and he stuck it away to his credit. But we should have closed the ball down before the cross came over.

"We are on 30 points and we are looking for 40. We have got 12 games left to play.

"The target was 40 points before the start of the season and it has not changed. We thought we would get some points against Spurs but all credit to them.

"I think we can play better than we did and we need to. Especially against big clubs like Spurs. I thought for the possession we had we didn't exploit it to the best."
