Points most important to Andros

The three points were all that mattered to Andros Townsend coming away from Aston Villa on Sunday.

Late goals from Nacer Chadli and Harry Kane saw us overturn a 1-0 deficit against the 10-man hosts to claim our first win in three Premier League outings.

Winger Andros, who won the free kick from which Harry netted our dramatic 89th-minute winner, was honest in his analysis of the match at Villa Park – but was naturally grateful for maximum spoils.

“At the end of the day the Premier League is all about three points,” he said after our 2-1 triumph. “We’ve played in games earlier on in the season where we maybe deserved to get the victory and didn’t win the game, so while we perhaps weren’t at our best today we’ll take the three points.

“We needed that win and whichever way it came, we got it, so everyone’s delighted.”

On the contribution of second half substitute Harry, Andros added: “He’s been fantastic all season. Obviously the fans were singing his name all game and for him to come on and score the winner in the last minute – it’s the stuff dreams are made of, so I think everyone’s delighted for him.”
