+Still sinking in for Simon
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Simon Dawkins admits that the under-18's FA Youth Cup triumph over Everton at the Lane on Tuesday has not quite sunk in yet.
A quarter-final date with Watford at Vicarage Road looms for Pat Holland's side and Simon suspects it is the character and determination of the team that has carried them past the challenges of Nottingham Forest, Liverpool and Everton to reach this stage.
"It has not really sunk in yet, I'm still shocked but it feels so good to be in the quarter finals now," reflected the striker back at Spurs Lodge. "It keeps our season going, the spirit is good and we are really getting behind each other - we feel strong.
"There was a determination throughout the whole team against Everton, we so much wanted to beat them and it shows what a good team we are.
"It is definitely different to our usual Saturday morning games, there is a much more hype and build up to the games. If we just stick by each other it will be good for us. A lot of my family were at the Everton game - Mum, Dad, sister, cousins - a bit of pressure but we dealt with it."
It has been a stirring cup run so far for the boys and Simon picks out the trip to Anfield as the one that stands out and gave the team belief in themselves.
"The Liverpool match, it showed the character we have in the team to come back an win from a goal down. We were tired but kept fighting through extra-time and won the game on penalties.
"We've now beaten Liverpool at Anfield and Everton at White Hart Lane - it is great.
"We've played Watford already and lost I think. We'll be up for it when it comes.
"I just need to score a goal myself now and hopefully it will come at Watford."
