+Steo up for the battle
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Stephen Kelly says players will have to win their battles in order for the team to secure a positive result away to Birmingham on Saturday.
St Andrews has not been a particularly happy hunting ground for us in our two visits since Birmingham's promotion to the Premiership, a 1-1 draw in the first game and a 1-0 defeat in the opening fixture of last season.
Steve Bruce's side have not realised the level of consistency this time around as they achieved in the last two seasons, but the defender knows full well they are capable of putting on big performances.
"They have been kind of up and down all season, but they do get good results," reasoned Steo. "We must apply ourselves and make sure we do the job.
"We have to win our battles and hopefully the chances will come. If we get a goal, it could be a 1-0 type of game, or if we perform well we could push on and hopefully we will this weekend.
"I've been there once and it is a nice ground. Obviously their fans are very passionate and it is a tough ground to go and get a result.
"With the way the team has been playing I think we can go and beat them."
Meanwhile, the Republic of Ireland under-21 skipper hopes that Reto Ziegler's elevation to the Swiss senior team will soon be replicated by himself.
"It is fantastic for him, I spoke to him before he went away and he said he was hoping to get a call up. With him playing for Tottenham he had a great chance and I was delighted for him.
"A month or two before he came I played against him in Switzerland in an under-21 qualifying game and I was marking him. He did alright and we got beat.
"It is great to see players given the chance to step up - hopefully it will happen for me."
