Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
LET'S start with Sunday's important win against Middlesbrough. We weren't particularly pleased with the first 20 minutes because we felt they got on top of the game a little but when they had a man sent off we did what we needed to do, move the ball around, made the extra man count and played really well. We went in 0-0 at half-time and knew we had to get an early goal and build on it. We did just that, scored quickly and that settled a lot of nerves. What was most encouraging against Middlesbrough was that we were solid throughout the game and didn't give too many chances. Hopefully we can build on that.
LIVERPOOL was very disappointing. It wasn't the best of dressing rooms to be in afterwards. There were a lot of long faces. You look at the team they had out and the team we had out and, no disrespect, but shouldn't have lost that game. We're all gutted and should have had the game won in normal time but couldn't find the back of the net. We dominated the majority of the game and personally, I never thought we were in trouble. Even going in at 0-0 at half-time I couldn't see us losing the game. To go 1-0 up and lose it in the way we did was a nightmare.
PENALTIES is a lottery. When Jerzy Dudek made the first save it was always going to be tough but then I made one back and that put us right back in with a chance. It can always go either way but unfortunately it didn't go our way on the night. It's also tough to miss in those circumstances but players have to be given credit for stepping up. To take a penalty in front of that amount of people is tough. It takes a lot of bottle.
WE HAVE to forget Liverpool now. It's in the past and there is nothing we can do about it. Everyone is disappointed with the performance but it's gone and we have to move on. What we have to remember is the Middlesbrough game, our last game in the league and try to pick up more points at Blackburn on Saturday.
BLACKBURN didn't start the season particularly well but seem to have picked up some good results in recent weeks. I had some good games with them in my time at Leeds and it's a nice club and nice ground. Their goalkeeper Brad Friedel had an outstanding season a couple of years ago that made people stand up and take notice and he's been consistent since and in good form again this season. They are in a bit of form but a club like Tottenham should go there and get a result and we'll be disappointed if we don't. We'll take a lot of supporters as we always do and we all intend to give them something to travel back down the M1 or M6 to be happy with.
