+Robbo's Diary

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

EVERTON was a great performance and we'd been threatening that for a while and do put that performance in and score the goals was very pleasing for us and gave something back to the fans. To do it do a club like Everton who are riding so high was even better. We were all delighted for Dean. We all know what he could do and what a good player he is and to come in show everyone like he did, it's what dreams are made of.

I COULDN'T tell about Pedro's goal at Old Trafford but I knew from the reaction of the Spurs fans in the corner that it was in. The way they started celebrating told the story. To see it on the television was a bit of a sickener, it was that far over the line it nearly hit the net. I've heard a lot of people say that Roy Carroll should have admitted it was in but I'll say now that there is no chance in the world I would have. If he had gone into that dressing room after doing something like that can you imagine the reaction?

BRIGHTON played well but I don't think we played particularly well. We didn't match them for effort in the first half, they got on top of the game, got a bit of spirit and then when they scored their goal just after half-time there were no arguments, they deserved it. I've got to say, if they went away with a draw, we wouldn't have complained. It took something special from Robbie to take us through. I was disappointed with their goal, it went in my side and even though it skipped up a bit in front of me I'm disappoiinted after the standards I've set myself.

WE'VE GOT an abysmal record against Chelsea but we're doing well at the moment and we did well against them at Stamford Bridge earlier in the season. Hopefully, with the way we're playing, it will be an open, attacking game with plenty of goals. We have to go at them, no other way. That's how we're playing at the moment and we're getting results, so there is no point in changing. As they say, if it's not broke, don't fix it!

I KNOW John Terry and Frank Lampard from England and when you look at Chelsea, those two have probably been the most consistent all season and that says it all. Both are very good at what they do for club and country. I've played behind JT for England and as a defender, he's got everything. First and foremost he's a great defender, so solid in the air and in the tackle and he can pass it as well, he's a footballer, not just a defender.

PETR CECH has done very well. To go into such a big club and perform how he's performed this season has been fantastic. Granted, he's not been tested that much but to keep the amount of clean sheets he has done is a big achievement.

WITH that in mind, I've been told that our record of seven clean sheets away from home in the league so far is the best at the club since 1981-82. We've kept nine away with the cups as well and 12 in total. It's personally nice for me because goalkeepers are judge on clean sheets. It's 12 so far and another 10 will do nicely!
