+Making his Mark
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Mark Yeates admits it was a boost to earn a place on the bench for our Barclays Premiership clash at Manchester City.
That was certainly reflected in another fine display for the reserves against West Ham at Upton Park on Tuesday night.
Mark curled home the first goal from 20 yards and set up the second for Jamie Slabber in the 2-2 draw.
The 19-year-old made such a spectacular debut at Wolves on the last day of last season - setting up a goal for Robbie Keane - and now seems to have worked his way into Martin Jol's thoughts.
"I haven't been down, I've trained as hard as usual but everyone gets a boost when they are involved with the first team, especially on the bench," reflected Mark.
"Perhaps I could have got on the pitch, didn't, so I wanted to impress again for the reserves.
"I want to stay in the squad, everyone at Tottenham knows how much I want to play and hopefully this will keep me in for the weekend.
"It can be hard for the young lads, you can get down, but with Jermain suspended, I managed to get involved.
"I've scored again for the reserves and that won't have done me any harm but it's down to the gaffer. The main thing is to continue working hard."
