+Goran's Cup warning
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Goran Bunjevcevic is proving to be something of a lucky charm in the Carling Cup, but he warns from bitter personal experience not to take anything for granted next time out against Burnley.
We travel to Turf Moor on Tuesday for a 5th round collision with Steve Cotterill's side, a repeat of the 3rd round clash of November 6, 2002.
Goran was a member of the side that travelled north that day and all looked set for a safe passage through to the next round when Gus Poyet steered us into a 1-0 lead. However, we were plonked firmly onto the back foot early after the break and rocked by a double strike from Robbie Blake and Steve Davis that was to prove decisive, despite the best efforts of second half sub Robbie Keane.
The Serb is striking a happier note at the moment, two goals in his two Carling Cup outings against Oldham and Bolton - his performance in the second game seeing to it that he kept his place against Fulham and Charlton in the Premiership.
"It is always a wonderful feeling to score a goal, especially the second goal against Bolton, it was something special for me and lots of emotion came out," reflected Goran. "I was really happy for the team that we got through to the next round.
"It will be another difficult game now. Everybody thinks we have had a good draw, but I remember Burnley from two years ago and it brings back bad memories for me.
"There was one change in the second half, I think the name of the guy was Glen Little and he changed the game completely for them.
"It was a cup game and something special happened for them and they went through.
"For us it was really disappointing, but it was a big lesson for us. We have had lots of changes to our team now and we can tell them what happened at Burnley. I want to go all the way through this year.
"For teams from the lower divisions it is their big game and their opportunity to show everybody what they can do."
Goran, however, has no plans to allow history to repeat itself.
"I have a special feeling for the cup though and I hope we can go right through to the final again."
