+Davis calls for repeat performance

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Sean Davis is confident a positive result can be secured at West Brom tonight if the defensive security displayed against Newcastle on Saturday is repeated.

The midfielder is aware that an early visit to a newly-promoted side is not always ideal and Gary Megson's side have enjoyed a decent start to the campaign and remain unbeaten after two draws.

Sean says confidence has been taken from our own start, but insists nothing will be taken for granted in what is likely to be an intimidating atmosphere at the Hawthorns.

"These are the games you've got to win or at least get a result from," he reasoned. "We'll go there full of confidence, but won't take anything for granted.

"They've just come up and will want to do well in front of their own fans. If we defend well as we did against Newcastle, we are always likely to score with the quality we've got in the squad."

Following a missed chance for England at St James Park and a blank drawn on our own trip to the venue last weekend, Sean is tipping Jermain Defoe to hit the net against the Baggies, adding that the wrong foot of Thimothee Atouba provided a pleasant surprise against Newcastle.

"Jermain will tell you himself that he had four or five chances, but I don't think the pitch helped him as it was slippy out there. He will probably score two or three next time.

"Thimee had a couple of chances with his left foot that didn't really come close, so when he had one with his right we were so pleased it went it and we had something to build on. It was good for us to score a goal and were were able to take the sting out of the game and keep the ball as much as possible."

Sean concluded that, on a personal level, his move to Spurs is certainly living up to expectations.

"I'm enjoying it, I'm working hard and luckily I'm playing in my own position in central midfield. I've enjoyed both games, hopefully I can stay injury-free and enjoy a long and successful season."
