Pleat on Souness
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
David Pleat describes Blackburn boss Graeme Souness as a 'fine man and a genuine guy'.
The pair come face to face when we travel to Ewood Park in the Premiership on Saturday.
Souness has done a fine job at Rovers - they were promoted in his first season in charge, won the Worthington Cup and finished tenth in his second and climbed to a superb sixth last term.
That has made it even more of mystery why his side are struggling at the wrong end of the Premiership this time around.
Caretaker boss David said: "I've seen many managers and coaches and what I judge them on is when they haven't done so well, when they've been defeated or when they've had an upset.
"I remember one game when they were dealt a bit of a bad hand and at the end of the game he was as gracious a loser publicly as you could imagine where privately he was seething.
"They have lots of good players and I'm sure they will soon get a good run going because like ourselves, they will be tagged under-achievers at the moment.
"People expect them to do well. I don't think there are unrealistic expectations, people don't expect them to eclipse Arsenal, Manchester United or Chelsea at the moment, but of the other group of clubs they are expected to be high in that ranking, as we are."
