Aaron Lennon admitted his second half chance that could have sealed the tie against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge has had a few re-runs in his mind since then. The England international - named in the squad for the Euro 2008 qualification double header against Israel and Andorra - sped clear of his markers in the second half in the first playing of the FA Cup quarter-final but was denied by the legs of Petr Cech.
"I've gone over it and Petr Cech made a good save," recalled Aaron. "I try not to let it bother me, it did for a little bit because if it had gone in it would have been game over. It is all in the past now and I am just looking forward to the replay," he reflected, going on to reason that the team being so quick out of the blocks on the day might just have taken Chelsea by surprise.
"I think that was the case and in the first 20 minutes Chelsea didn't know what to do with us. We showed that we are capable of changing the formation and we are not just a normal flat 4-4-2 team.
"We really should have wrapped the game up though, with being 3-1 up at half-time, we should have won the game. We've got a replay and I would say it is in our favour now with having a home game where we have beaten them this season already. I don't see why we can't do it again."
