Pick up a programme tonight!

30 October 2013|Tottenham Hotspur

Lewis Holtby is the cover star of our matchday programme for Wednesday night’s home match against Hull City in the Capital One Cup.

Our energetic midfielder, hugely popular among players and fans alike, speaks about his ambition to play at Wembley Stadium – and discusses how the Capital One Cup provides a chance to do just that.

“I’ve never been to Wembley Stadium as a player so it would be a dream for me to play in a cup final for Spurs there,” he tells us.

“I want to win a trophy this season, like everyone here does, to have a great year which ends with us at least lifting a trophy.

“I want to be part of a great team, a side that is remembered for winning something and the League Cup and FA Cup are good opportunities to win silverware.

“Great teams are judged by what they win, by success.”

Be sure to pick up your copy of the matchday programme tonight to read the full interview with Lewis.

Also included in tonight’s 100-page publication is the very latest from Head Coach Andre Villas-Boas as our hectic spell of games continues apace, while we have all your need-to-know headlines from around the club.

In addition, we recap Sunday’s meeting with the Tigers in the Premier League – a game settled by Roberto Soldado’s late spot kick – and last week’s Europa League victory over FC Sheriff, plus we cast our minds further back to the 1983-84 season in our regular ‘30 Years Ago Today’ feature.

There’s also a round-up of the recent exploits of our in-form Under-18s side, we take an in-depth look at Hull City’s squad, and catch up with former midfielder Stephen Clemence – now on the Tigers’ coaching staff.

All this and much more – including a chat with ex-player Ramon Vega as we build up to next summer’s FIFA World Cup – is available in Wednesday night’s matchday programme, priced at £3.50 for 100 pages, on sale at various points around the stadium and at the Spurs Megastore.
