Perry's back

Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).

Chris Perry hopes to have put himself in the frame for Monday's clash at Bolton after completing 90 minutes for the reserves last night.

The defender was outstanding on his return to action in the 1-0 win at Leicester City after a slipped disk in his neck kept him sidelined for two months.

It makes it a double boost on the defensive front for boss Glenn Hoddle with Dean Richards also available again after suspension.

Chris was unbeatable alongside Alton Thelwell and Ronnie Henry in a back three at the Walkers Stadium and was delighted to be back in action.

"I was just happy to go out there and get 90 minutes under my belt - it's been two months too long," he said afterwards.

"There is no initial reaction but obviously I'll have to see how it is in the morning.

"If it's good then hopefully I'll put myself in the frame to be in the squad for the Bolton game, but that's up to the management."

It's obviously been a frustrating few weeks for Chris as the healing process took place.

"It was was unfortunate really," he revealed. "I landed awkwardly and every time I went up to head the ball or move my neck it was hurting.

"Eventually we got a scan done which showed I had a slipped disk in there and basically you can't do anything with it.

"It's quite risky if you try to play on with it so we had to rest, wait for the inflammation to go down and so far it's gone okay."
