Perry aid spot on for Tommy
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Academy goalkeeping coach Perry Suckling is hoping his young prodigy Tommy Forecast continues to flourish on the FA Youth Cup stage tonight.
Tommy has been one of the stars of our run to the semi-finals - not least his penalty shoot-out heroics at Liverpool in round four.
He will now attempt to maintain his proud record of just two goals conceded in the competition when we travel to Portman Road for the first leg of the semi-final against Ipswich tonight, kick-off 7pm.
Perry has worked hard with Tommy on the training ground and is credited with his very noticeable improvement this season.
Not that he'd say so. "It's good of people to say nice things but at the end of the day it's down to what Tommy does in the matches," said one-time England Under-21 international Perry.
"Tommy's done extremely well this season. He's still a young man and has a lot of physical attributes, he's six foot two, very broad and he's worked hard.
"He has worked really hard over the last two years. I know he's good enough, I know he can play well and it's just a matter of him showing everyone.
"He's done really well in this competition and obviously we all hope that continues."
Perry expects a tough tie over the two legs. "Ipswich are a very good side and they've got through to the semi-finals by playing very good football.
"The lads have performed well in the FA Youth Cup so far and they are quietly confident but we also have a lot of respect for Ipswich.
"It will be a different game to what we encountered at Watford.
"You have to give Pat Holland a lot of credit, he's masterminded the tactical side of it from the first game against Nottingham Forest through to Ipswich. He's watched them and had them watched so I'm sure he'll have a few things up his sleeve.
"We've just come back from San Sebastian where the lads worked hard and did well against the likes of Real Sociedad and Real Madrid, beat Palace 3-0 on Saturday and it's all systems go. Confidence is high, our big players have performed on the big stage so far and we have to hope they do that for another two games."
