'Perfect' scenario for new Season Ticket Holder
29 June 2017|Tottenham Hotspur
Meet Royal Navy engineer and massive Spurs fan Danny Mullen – one of the very first members to have secured a Season Ticket this summer, as a result of the increased capacity now available to us at Wembley Stadium and our future new home in Tottenham.
The 38-year-old was near the top of the waiting list of Bronze Members looking to upgrade to a Season Ticket and now, with more Season Tickets available thanks to the move away from White Hart Lane, coupled with his revised work commitments, he’s been able to guarantee his seat for all our future home games alongside his brother Ricky and four of their closest friends.
“I haven’t been able to accept a Season Ticket before because of various job situations, me spending a lot of time away at sea and my friends being quite busy with work commitments, but all of a sudden it’s all worked out quite well with work and the move to Wembley, so it’s all come together at the right time and as we can now all sit together we’ve all said yes,” said Danny, who has been based in Portsmouth for the last 16 years and is on the coaching staff of the Royal Navy under-21 development team.
“I was brought up in Enfield and I’ve been a fan ever since I was a kid. Back in the 1960s and 1970s my old man, Kim, used to go continuously, home or away, and I’ve been going on and off for the last 15 or 20 years with my brothers Ricky and Lee and my mates, who I grew up with around Enfield.
“Every season we pick certain home or away games to go to but Ricky and my mates – who all had quite similar numbers on the waiting list – have all managed to get a Season Ticket this year as well and all six of us are sat next to each other, so it’s worked out perfectly for everybody to be able to go together. My boys, Ricky and Max, are both members as well – I’ve drummed the tradition of being Spurs fans into them, even though they were born in Pompey!
“It’s absolutely brilliant – we can’t wait for the first game of the season. I’m looking forward to it massively and considering how we finished last season, a very respectable second, hopefully we can have a trophy-winning season next year, whether that be a cup or the league itself.
“I’m really looking forward to it – not just this season but beyond Wembley, the new stadium, the atmosphere there, the style of football that we play… I’m just buzzing for every game!”
