Harry Kane described a perfect day at the office against Bournemouth.
The striker moved to 20 goals for the Premier League campaign inside a minute, added his second for 2-0 within 15 minutes and then fired in the shot that Artur Boruc parried into the path of Christian Eriksen for 3-0 seven minutes into the second half.
We might have scored more goals in-between the second and third and then after Christian’s goal, but after a shot count of 17-2, it stayed at three.
“It was perfect,” said Harry, who became the first Spur since Martin Chivers (1970-71, 1971-72) to score 20 league goals in successive seasons.
“We came out of the blocks flying, that’s what we wanted to do and to get that early goal always helps. We grew in the game from there and kept the ball, created chances and looked solid at the back. It was a great performance.”
Asked what was said ahead of the game and following our Europa League exit, Harry told us: “We can only focus on the league now and it’s all about getting our minds focused on that.
“It’s always important to keep the momentum before an international break with a win, that’s what we wanted to do and we went out there and did it.”
