Niko Kranjcar's full debut ticked all the boxes.

Niko Kranjcar's full debut ticked all the boxes.

The Croatian midfielder won the praise of boss Harry Redknapp after playing his part in Saturday's 5-0 win against Burnley.

Robbie Keane led the way with four goals and Jermaine Jenas grabbed the fifth as we returned to winning ways in the Barclays Premier League.

"I actually played my first Premier League match for Portsmouth at White Hart Lane as well, so it looks like it's meant to be," smiled Niko.

"It was great for us that we got the three points and won 5-0, we dominated the game and came back after two defeats in the Premier League.

"Once we got the ball moving quickly, especially in midfield and in the last third, we showed different class and we could have scored more in the first half.

"We didn't start the second half as well as we wanted to but once we scored the third goal it was all over.

"It was very important to get the win to get the confidence back not just for us, but for the fans as well.

"We believe in those the games against United and Chelsea that there were occasions where he might have scored an earlier goal and maybe we might have gone on to win one of those games.

"It didn't happen though but those games proved we can compete with any team in the league and we have to keep pushing."
