Paying the penalty
Tottenham Hotspur (Spurs) Football Club is located in North London. The club is also known as Spurs. Tottenham's home ground is White Hart Lane. The club motto is Audere est Facere (To dare is to do).
Glenn Hoddle and the players were convinced they were robbed of an injury time penalty at Anfield.
The incident came in our final attack of the match as Robbie Keane attempted to lift the ball over Jamie Carragher and the defender's hand clearly diverted the path of the ball.
But Mike Riley waved away our appeals and it ended 2-1 to the Premiership leaders.
Boss Glenn said: "There were two handballs in there, definitely handball, I've seen it, but some you get, some you don't."
Steffen Freund was booked for his protests. "It was a clear handball," said the midfielder. "Robbie Keane had the ball, tried to lift it over and Carragher's hand went up and touched the ball.
"If you are in a one-on-one situation like that, the hands have to be down. But his hand went up to the ball and touched the ball, definitely. That is why I reacted like I did."
Gus Poyet added: "Everybody is convinced we should have had a penalty at the end. If you see the player with the ball react only, maybe yes, maybe no, but when you see four or five, then that is probably because something was there."
